Effective Safety Skills through Active PRACTICE

KIDPOWER ensures that students have the opportunity to integrate essential safety skills through realistic practice with:

  • Carefully formatted role-plays to teach boundary-setting and awareness skills
  • Simulated assault self-defence to provide full-force practice of simple self defence techniques with a head-to-toe padded instructor

... so students can:

  • Keep safe when on their own
  • Get help safely from strangers
  • Stop bullies and inappropriate touch or behaviour
  • Cope with peer group pressure
  • Turn fear into positive practical action
  • Recognise an emergency situation, and take quick, effective action
  • Use physical defence skills (as a last resort) to stop violence and get help

Many success stories prove the effectiveness of our "hands-on" approach - like the girl, who got attacked from behind and recalled

"I automatically did what we practised, and it worked!"

Instilling Confidence and a Healthy Respect for Others

Our sessions are safe, fun, positive, proven, professionally coached and internationally accredited (over one million adults and children have been trained worldwide). Feedback from professionals, parents and children confirm that the courses encourage children to be respectful yet assertive. It helps both, the more aggressive children as well as the overly shy children.
