About the New Zealand Centre
The New Zealand Chapter has been in operation since 1993 from the Top of the South. It is called the KIDPOWER TEENPOWER FULLPOWER Trust and is a registered, non profit organisation.
It is the New Zealand Centre of non-profit KIDPOWER TEENPOWER FULLPOWER
International
Regional and Centre Directors Cornelia Baumgartner & Martin Hartman received training in California and keep close contact with the international KIDPOWER TEENPOWER FULLPOWER community, endeavouring to bring the best training available on this planet to all New Zealanders. They both have an extensive background in teaching and hold 4th
and 5th degree black belts in Aikido.
More than 24,500 people practised safety skills with the New Zealand Centre since 1993. Many schools, colleges, the Institute of Technology, outdoor pursuit centres, clubs and community groups etc. contract KIDPOWER TEENPOWER FULLPOWER Trust regularly. Our instructors travel to bring the programs to all parts of New Zealand.

Josef Hodel - Chairperson
Has extensive experience in managing own business and is a registered workplace assessor for apprentices. Has a Diploma in Project management and is currently a business mentor with Business Mentor NZ

Christine Piper - Treasurer
An Aucklander who moved to the Motueka Valley twenty years ago, with a lifetime of work in alternative education. This has included many years of teaching at an independent registered primary school in the Motueka Valley- a cooperative parent run venture. Now working with adults teaching Maori language. I have an abiding interest in cooperative ventures and the behaviour it takes to operate this way. I love the learning in Kidpower, even in the office we hold to the kaupapa and support the empowering enabling nature of the work.

Simon Jones - Secretary
Is a Resource Management consultant, Land Surveyor and Planner based in Nelson and Mapua. He brings business and compliance knowledge to the board. Simon Joined the board in 2005 and has a keen interest providing opportunities for self-development to all age groups. Simon is also involved in Rotary and has been a business owner for the last 25 years.

Lizz Conroy
Has supported the Kidpower Trust since its early beginnings and chaired the Trust from 1998 until 2009. Having an educator B.A., B.Ed. and counsellor MNZAC background she has played a major part in our succesful organisational and programme development.

Yvonne Raymond
Is currently the Managing Director of Corporate Care NZ Ltd.
She has over 25 years accountancy and leadership coaching experience, at a senior management level. She combines coaching, mentoring and accountancy expertise to provide a unique and powerful leadership style to organisations. Yvonne is also a voluntary New Zealand Business Mentor and a Trust Board Member of Alzheimers Society Nelson Inc.

Derrick Gould
Has an extensive banking background in two countries providing financial services and solutions to a great variety of business and personal customers. Having been involved in a number of banking and financial institutions in senior roles he has been involved in strategic planning, marketing as well as financial management.
Board member of Suburban Club, Committee of Nelson and District Golf Referees and in the past has been a member of Round Table in two countries, a rotarian in Nelson and on golf committees at Royal Durban Golf Club, Napier Golf Club and Nelson Golf Club.

Annie Simmons
She has worked in and around the Nelson to Motueka area as a teacher, for over 20 years, and h wide networks with other teachers in the region.
Currently a Special Needs Co-coordinator at Parklands School in Motueka and has been involved in working with students from a variety of abusive and neglectful backgrounds, working to strengthen their personal circumstances and to improve their resilience against the difficulties that they encountered.
